Welcome On Board is the fourteenth Story Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
Objectives[]
- Report to the Peacekeepers' headquarters.
- I woke up surrounded by a pile of massacred infected corpses. Exhausted and confused, I decided to meet Jack Matt, who offered to help me with my search.
- Report to the dispatcher.
- Jack Matt showed up at the Peacekeeper base shortly after my arrival. It turned out that Aitor survived, but was in critical condition. Matt ordered that everything to be done to wake him from his coma.
- Talk to Jack Matt.
- Jack Matt made me an offer. He will find the hidden GRE scientists who may have the answers to my questions. In return, I will help him launch the Peacekeepers' radio propaganda in the city.
- Talk to Meyer.
- Meyer explained Matt's plan to me. My job was to activate the antenna on the roof of the VNC Tower. In order to reach it, I needed large number of UV lamps, but Supply seemed to be dragging their feet.
- Gather info about the ordered UV lamps.
- Authority for the UV lamp delivery was held by Juan Reiner, head of Supply. He wasn't in his office, but I was told to look for him in Frank's canteen.
- Talk to Juan at the Canteen.
- It turned out that Rainer didn't really care about Jack Matt's problems. I tried various arguments but did not convince him to speed up the delivery of the UV lamps to the Peacekeepers.
- Talk to Lawan.
- Lawan was not surprised by Rainer's refusal and advised me to bribe him with a valuable work of art from the collection of a former local art patron.
- Get to the art collector's apartment.
- I searched the collector's apartment but did not find any art. The patron must have hidden his collection well.
- Use the vent to reach the building.
- I got into the building with the help of a paraglider.
- Find valuables for Juan in the apartment.
- The patron had moved his art collection to the roof of the building. I decided to check if he was still there.
- Search the roof.
- The collection was no longer on the roof, but I found the patron's body with a bottle of old whiskey beside it. It would have to suffice as a gift to Rainer.
- Take liquor.
- Attend Danior's part. (OPTIONAL)
- I came to Danior's birthday at Lawan's invitation. There, we relaxed and played drinking games. It was all going great... until I asked Lawan about her past.
- Talk to Juan again.
- Juan warned me that Jack Matt was planning something that could threaten the well-being of the city. He promised to help me find Mia if I helped him discover the details of the Peacekeeper leader's plans. I declined.
Walkthrough[]
Waking up on a roof, surrounded by infected corpses for unknown reason, Aiden befuddledly decides to meet Major Jack Matt when he said they should meet up in person. Visiting the PK's cargo ship, namely Missy - The Floating Fortress, Lieutenant Meyer greeted him in Jack's stead and informed the Major is awaiting him in his office. A little chat about current state of Villedor begins their cooperation. Jack will help Aiden in search of his sister Mia, in return Aiden need to assist him in PK's mission of capturing the antenna on the top of the tallest building in Villedor, VNC Tower. First thing first, Aiden is requested to find Juan Rainer, the leader of Supplier, and ask about the UV lamp order. Aiden has to go to Fish Eye in order to confront him.
Jack may go out on a mission before Aiden pays PK's Floating Fortress a visit if Aiden informed Aitor's current whereabout. He will be seen hurriedly bringing unconscious Aitor back to the ship while Aiden was talking to Meyer. He will later thanks Aiden for his worthwhile infomation.
As to Juan who even boldly stands against Jack, it's hard to seek his answer unless he willingly speaks out once Aiden proved some worth to him. Mentioned by Lawan that there is a rumor of a famous art collector has once lived in Central Loop and fleed away from his apartment before The Fall, thinking that there may be some precious paintings left behind, Aiden goes ahead so as to search for something that could attract Juan's unrivalled passion of antiques. Although painting valuables were all gone, Aiden's discovery was not in vain. The wine that he found luckily has Juan sat back and finally talked about the main subject.
Just before going to reconfront Juan about the lamp order, Aiden may go to Canteen as in Lawan's invitation to Danior birthday party. In there, Aiden will get to talk with Rowe and Lawan and have a truth-or-dare game with them. He will know more about Lawan's personal issues. The party later ends after Lawan left.
Juan proposes to Aiden that the Jack Matt's UV lamp exceeding order is absurd and he sniffed out some doubtful actions of his. Juan accepts the PK's order but also recommends Aiden to help him spy on Jack, in hope to pry the leader's true intention out. Aiden is expected to choose whether to loyal to Jack Matt or side with Juan and secretly spy on him. Depend on his choice, he will have different destination.

Trivia[]
- It is questionable as to how may Danior help in prior storyline, although Lawan particularly says that he knows Villedor more than anyone else. He maybe provide a little hint about Lawan's past, but it seem not to be enough and necessity. After his birthday party, the player will not see him again for the rest of the story.
- If player completed the whole series of Book Club quests and eventually slept with Thalia in the sequent quest Turning the Page, in the truth-or-dare game, Aiden will mention her as a rare dialogue as player chose to tell the truth to Lawan dare. The answer will get Lawan proposed she is a little jealous.
