The Constable is a weapon modification that appears in Dying Light. Its blueprint can be acquired at the start of the game through the Ultimate Survivor Bundle DLC pack. It applies a medium electricity effect, turns the affected weapon into a sharp weapon, and can only be used on Police Batons.
Overview[]
The Constable behaves exactly like a Police Baton upgraded by the Airport Security mod. The main difference being it saves the player time from having to grab said blueprint meaning if they specifically have a large amount of Police Batons, The Constable is still useful. It is also available from the very start of the game if the player has the DLC installed when starting a new campaign. The weapon created has electrical properties to shock zombies it hits, which can be useful for either focussing on a task, dangerous enemy or giving time to get away from a dangerous situation. However, because it is only a green rarity mod, it will be surpassed by super mods that add extra damage and deal more critical damage with a higher chance.

- Despite being turned into a sharp weapon, it will never decapitate or cut off a limb.
Trivia[]
- It is one of the few weapon upgrades that can only be applied to one type of weapon
- Unlike Airport Security, The Constable does not require Power Cables, something to note if the player is running low on that craft part.
