"Shield Mastery" is a Survival skill in Dying Light.
Shield Mastery allows the player to use shields and unlocks the blueprint to craft them. This also allows Shields to appear at Quartermasters and in shops.
Overview[]
Shields are a particularly useful tool at dealing with humans with melee weapons and Virals as often times due to their frequency of blocking and dodging, it is sometimes a better idea to just let them stun themselves attacking you. It is highly recommended to get this upgrade during parts of the game when Virals and humans are exceptionally common or if the player requires extra advantages against them.
