• In real life, Scythes are agricultural tools used for moving grass or reaping crops. Scythes are also quite similar to Sickles in real life too, as both function very similarly.
• Oddly, the Sickles in-game contain a rather modern and unique design, rather that the traditional look of being a long and curved blade at the end of a long pole attached to either one or two handles. While the Sickle contains the modern look, there are survivors seen in The Following with the traditional sickle.
