Overview[]

Parkour Fever is a set of challenges around Slums and Old Town. The player will be challenged to run through a set of checkpoints within a specified amount of time. There are 10 challenges in total with 5 each in The Slums and Old Town. There are 2 achievements and trophies related to parkour fever: "The Boy Who Could Run" which requires the player to complete all Parkour Fever Challenges. The "GD Parkour Instructor" achievement requires the player to complete all Parkour Fever Challenges at night. Both achievements can be acquired at once by playing through all of the levels at night which rewards you the day time and night time achievement progress.

Mechanics[]

Combo Meter

Parkour Fever challenges add a combo counter to the game during the challenge, which appears to the right of the players health. Performing parkour moves such as climbing will add to the combo counter and grant a speed boost to the players movement. The combo maxes out at 10 and will disappear if not refreshed after a few seconds. Keeping the combo counter up will allow the player to move much faster than normal as well as leap across gaps they they would not normally be able to do.

Tips And Tricks[]

  • Using the Pyza Suit in can allow you to skip obstacles by flying over them rather then having to climb them.
  • Using the kuai dagger does not provide an additional speed boost.
  • The grappling hook cannot be used and using it will fail the run instantly. However, this can be useful if you make a mistake or fall of a ledge and wish to restart quickly or avoid dying.
  • You are able to use your grappling hook to move your starting location forward in the split second where the loading screen transitions to the timer.
  • You can use speed booster/night hunter boosters if you spam the button to drink them in the countdown phase. You are normally not allowed to use boosters within the challenge as it doesn't let you however there is an exception for this moment.
  • The speedruns are great guides for the best routes to take and show you where to go to get the fastest time.
