Hey there; just wanted to pop over and say thanks. When I started helping out around the wiki I was worried that the admins had more or less abandoned us; seeing your response to Oscar gave me a lot more confidence. Nice to know all the housecleaning deletions I've been marking won't fall on deaf ears.
I set up a Discord server for the active members to better coordinate our research & discuss changes to sections; you're welcome to join us anytime. I saw that you're busy with your studies, so there's no pressure; thought I'd extend the invitation for when you had the time for it. Let me know if you'd like the invite as I'm not sure if posting it on the message wall is the most secure location, but as far as I can tell there's no real private messaging system.
Yeah, I haven't been as active as I should have, and that's mostly because it was just me editing and I lost interest and moved on to other wikia. I'm assuming the recent influx of users is due to the new DLC (which I plan to get later).
Anyway, I'll be glad to pop in and help out more, mostly with the savvy side like redirects and renaming and less about editing. I currently have a limited data plan so I can't stream Discord sorry, but thanks.
If you need anything just contact me here or something.
I'd been checking in from time to time, but it looked like the wiki had been more or less abandoned, and I didn't feel like I knew enough about the game to be able to contribute. I saw Oscar's post a little after the Following was released, and figured I could use my nightmare playthrough to help gather information. The Following is 100% worth it, by the way; when you pick it up and want some company playing through it, I'd be happy to join in.
Do you know how to set up new navboxes? I've been wanting to focus on mapping out locations, updating the appropriate pages with accurate information, etc. It'd be helpful to have a quick way to navigate around the map, so to speak.
As of recent, I and a few other member of this wiki have decided to do a bit of an overhaul. We feel that some pages are uneccessary, and are condensing them into one general page. As a result, we feel that there are many pages that should be deleted, and if we feel the need to recreate them, then to do it properly the first time. All I want to know is if you can hop on every now and then and help us out, or give one of us the ability to delete pages?
I know that it is alot to ask, but I personally feel that Alex Lioce has made some serious commitment and changes, and that he would do well with any power granted him.
Okay well, Its great to see a resurgence of users on this wikia since I was last here. Currently I am deep into my studies and do not have as much leisure time as I once had, but I will do my best to help out when I can. Remember to mark pages for deletion and I can take them out in one hit.
I agree that the pages and content is a bit redundant and have multiples, but that's only because of conflicting anonymous user edits and general abandonment by the mod team which I apologize on behalf of.
I'm only an Administrator, so I do not have the ability to give other users admin tools as well.
Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that I created a Parent Page for this wikia. Wikia Parent Pages are the ultimate pop-culture guide for parents created by the fans that know pop culture best. I’ve filled in a few fields, but feel free to edit and add what you know. Let me know if you have any questions. Your PP can be found at: Home: Dying_Light_Wiki:ParentPage
My congratulations for your new role on wiki :) I've came to tell you about spammers. Please, block them on indefinitely. Also you can leave links to their contributons on my message wall for global block.
Basically what I do when I see a spammer is just use a tool from the Dev wikia which blocks then deletes all their stuff. We seem to be getting a lot of them for some reason, which link to a Korean site,
Hey. Since you've been helping immensely for the past two or so weeks, I've decided to promote you to administrator. I'm sure you get the gist of everything, so leave me a message if you need anything. Congratulations and thanks!
Oh, my mistake, I thought it was directed toward me since I was the last person to edit the page before you. You did a great job with the cutout of the outfit. I don't think anyone could do a better job, honestly. :)
If you did that, it's great. It'd be nice to see some more of that with other aspects of the game. Are you good at cutting out things or are you just surprised that you could do it with this? If so, I'd like to make a request, if you please (I'm personally bad at image editing).
I hear you. But that was really great! I'm pretty good at Photoshop, but I can't be bothered to cut out anything that has so many angles and sides to it LOL excellent work, paired with the transparent background. I had to save the image to my computer for my own reference. I've been thinking of making my own Dying Light themed wallpaper for my monitor and that would be a perfect addition.
Hey. Thought that I'd just let you know that, from my evaluation, weapon statistics are randomized and not fixed. They can vary across rarities and different parameters, so there's no point in adding stats, unfortunately.
I haven't been adding them, it was another user. I realized this myself when I bought a blue Katana and then found a blue Katana and the stats where different despite it not being used. I'm not sure how we should go ahead with them, though.
