Name is Rel, I'm working as a Content Team Member, Fandom sent me (and another Team Member) here to help build out content and add missing content to your wiki. So from now to Friday if you see the other Team Member or I edits/article creations, it's because of this.
I created the page City Hall a few days ago, because I thought there was no page about it, but I just realized this isn't the case, and that there is already a page about it, just named differently:Town Hall. Now this meant that the page I created was useless, so I tried to find a way to delete it, but I couldn't, so I looked on forums, and it said something like only administrators could delete it, and since you are an administrator, well, I'd like to have you let me know how I can delete this page double I inadvertently created. Thanks in advance.
Oh, and if I find a way to do it myself, I'll just let you know it.
Well, there's still a problem. I'm trying to change the image name to Town Hall for it to be accurate with the page it is in, but once again, I can't find any way to do it. Reuploading a differently named file did nothing either.
All things considered, deleting the file altogether and uploading the same file again but with a different name wouldn't be much of a sacrifice, considering I have the image on my computer, and can just use it again with no problem. So I'll just go ahead and do that.
I take back what I just said. I can't delete it. Even though I'm the uploader. Soooo... I guess I'll just upload it again and leave this double there, I guess. I suppose you could delete the original image so that all that is left is the image with the right name.
Actually, I see three options:
1:Put the incorrectly named image on the page anyway.
2:You would delete the image, and I would reupload it again with the right name.
There is something in Kyle Crane's biographical information that bothers me, it says he is deceased... but technically he isn't. He is a Night Hunter which is a Human/Volatile hybrid. Just like the Mother in The Following DLC. He can still feel human emotions during the day... just like the Mother.
Unfortunately I haven't played the game in a while, so I'm not able to back this information up. However, if you're confident about your explanation, than feel free to change the information to its proper way so as long as you include a source/reference.
Hey NinjaFatGuy! I'm Jamie from FANDOM's Community Development team! Not sure if we never asked you if you are interested in turning on the Discussions feature for this community, and migrating the Threaded Forums across as well.
In case you are unaware of the feature, Discussions was introduced last year to help communities engage with users and fans. It lives in its own space on the wiki and allows users to interact with other members of the community. It is also mobile friendly and gives mobile users a chance to contribute and engage with the community, and possibly turn them into wiki editors as well. Discussions also links with our FANDOM Apps, which this community has and it allows app users to easily take part in Discussions as well. You can read more about Discussions here.
For more information on migrating forums to Discussions, you can check out this blog over on Community Central that explains everything in detail.
If you have some concerns, Discussions, and Forums can exist side-by-side in case you do not want to migrate just yet. However, eventually all Forums will be migrated over to Discussions and Forums will be sunsetted as a feature, so getting ahead of the curve is never a bad idea.
Feel free to have an open discussion with your community about this, and I'm available for any questions you might have. Have a good one!
Hi there! Me again. We'd love to get this ball rolling. Let's that that if I don't hear back from you by the end of the month (Jan 31) I'll go ahead and enabled discussions. I will leave forums as they are for now. Thanks!
Hey there. While I'm not very active on this wiki, I'm relatively active across Wikia and other wikis. The most recent active admin was Alex Lioce, who last edited in April. However, if you have any questions, feel free to message me. Thanks!
well i guess mostly i've been trying to clean up categories and character pages. was planning on moving on to quests and equipment i guess. ive renamed a few pages too. wanted to make sure i'm not stepping on toes.
Unfortunately we do not have any admins who actively monitor the wiki. If you know someone or you yourself would like to become an admin, feel free to let me know. I'd recommend creating a forum post or something of the sort to see what the community has to offer.
as a bureaucrat (founder even) i'd say it's your responsibility to select someone to maintain the site if you are unwilling to do so, but that's cool. hopefully a more dedicated community grows here with the upcoming expansion packs. good luck guy.
Well I believe I've been too inactive recently to make that decision. And either way, it's not always fully my decision. I just have the power to promote people. It's also up to the active community to decide who the best option would be to take over the wiki.
I appreciate your desire to help the wiki and get rid of vandals, but approaching me by "demanding" for rights wouldn't be the way to go. If you put in a formal request for rights, it may have been different.
Your contributions look good though. For now, I am going to decline. If you continue working on the wiki and further prove your capabilities, I will consider granting you rights.
I went ahead and blocked the vandal. If you see another one, contact an administrator to get it sorted. Thanks!
Hey, I'd like to thank you for helping us out. I honestly don't do much content improvement on this wiki, I just try to steer the guys in the right direction. But there is one thing I despise, and that is users such as http://dyinglight.wikia.com/wiki/User:22.214.171.124
who do things like
http://dyinglight.wikia.com/wiki/Crayons_for_the_Kids?oldid=17013 . I'm not asking for any power (hell, I know I haven't done nearly enough to help out) But I was wondering if Thollos could get the power to stop users like these from editing articles? Unless gears has the power. The reason that I'm asking is because I know Alex/Werewolf is busy improving/creating better pages. Sorry for the long rant, and thanks again.
Well, as you've may've noticed, myself and the others including Oscar, GearsofHaloWarfare, and Thollos have been drastically improved this wiki and currently still are. I was wondering, because of me being one of the people helping out with the wiki and the many helpful and creation of necessary pages such as the weapon pages, if it was possible for me to get promoted to Admin so I help out even more with the wiki such as the chances of removing unnecessary pages faster and so on.
I would be very much appreciated since I am one the most active people here on the wiki, and this would help me and the others big time in terms of improving. :)
Hello! I reviewed some of your contributions and they look good. I've decided to grant you administrative rights. I will also be granting Gearsofhalowarfare with rollback rights, and Oscar's contributions looks good but we'd have to see more from him in order to give him any rights. Let me know if you need any help or have questions and I'd be glad to help! Good luck and thanks.
