I arrived at the hospital in the dead of night. There I met Hakon, who was to guide me around the building.
Search the trashcans for lockpick crafting parts.
Craft lockpicks.
Unlock the doors.
Hakon thought I couldn't handle a locked door. I made a lockpick and showed him what I can do. We could continue our search.
Go deeper into the hospital.
Follow Hakon.
With Hakon's guidance, I made my way through the hospital.
Find a white and green GRE crate.
It wasn't a good idea to jump onto an old, out of order elevator. Not only was I almost killed, but my way back was cut off. At Hakon's urging, I went looking for inhibitors in the hope that, thanks to them, I would have the strength to climb the elevator shaft up to the exit.
Take an inhibitor.
I found the inhibitors. After injecting one, I immediately felt stronger. I went back to the elevator shaft.
Return to the elevator shaft.
Regroup with Hakon.
I was able to climb the elevator shaft. At the top, Hakon was waiting for me with a biomarker. When he put it on me, the device made a loud screeching noise. This was an alarm indicating that I was about to turn! I had to get out into the sun immediately!
Run outside to the sun!.
I made it. I was alive... and I had a biomarker. I could get to the Fish Eye. Unfortunately, the Peacekeepers closed the only passage to the Central Loop. But Hakon, as always, had a plan. He promised to get me to the Central Loop if I would help him escape the city after finding Mia. He dreamed of living by the ocean.
Talk to Hakon.
Hakon needed some time to put his plan into motion. In the meantime, he gave me binoculars (quite useful!) and suggested that I take a look around the area.
Use the binoculars to mark a windmill.
Use the binoculars to mark the church.
Walkthrough[]
Waking up at Cillian's Hideout, Hakon will contact Aiden that he knows of a location to find a Biomarker - the Saint Joseph Hospital in Houndfield, he asks Aiden to meet him there, so head on over to Houndfield, a short walk to the northwest. Trying to open the main doors leading into the hospital will prove futile, so Hakon recommends going to a bus which crashed into the hospital. Head west and enter the bus which is crashed into the hospital entrance. Unlock the doors of the bus to gain access to the hospital lobby and head inside to meet up with Hakon and then follow him.
Upon entering one of the higher floors of the hospital, Aiden will get a flashback to himself and Mia, but will eventually snap out of it when Hakon speaks to him. Go to the elevator room and head down the stairs to meet up with Hakon in a hallway leading to an area full of sleeping Biters. In order to pass them without entering combat, use the sneak function to crawl under the desks and furniture to sneak past the biters without waking them up. After doing so, continue to follow Hakon.
Eventually, the two will come across an elevator door. Hakon and Aiden will open it together and jump down onto the elevator which is a floor lower. Unfortunately, when Aiden lands the elevator starts coming loose and falls down to the ground floor. Unable to climb up to Hakon, Hakon suggests checking the ground floor for some Inhibitors to gain the strength needed for the climb. Open the escape hatch of the elevator and head down. A cutscene will play where a Volatile nearly spots Aiden before running away after hearing a sound. On the ground floor, several biters and virals can be found, with the biters sleeping while the virals walk around. After getting by them and trying to get to the cafeteria another short cutscene will play. Go into the cafeteria, at the end of which a GRE crate containing three Inhibitors is located - which need to be used to upgrade stamina. With the upgraded stamina, head back to the elevator shaft, climb up, and meet Hakon.
Upon being reunited with Hakon he will give Aiden his biomarker - which will instantly turn red and start to ping as Aiden is about to turn. Virals will show up and begin chasing Aiden, who has to escape the hospital in 38 seconds time. Run straight ahead from the starting position and jump up a level, then turn a corner. A volatile will jump down onto a table, so Aiden turns left to avoid it and keep going. Run to the exit to escape into the sunlight and survive the infection.
Aiden and Hakon will then have a short conversation, in which Hakon makes it clear he wants to get out of Villedor and live by the ocean and asks Aiden if he wants to work together so they can later get out of Villedor together. He will also tell Aiden more about the situation in Old Villedor regarding the murder of the Peacekeeper commander. Hakon will then tell Aiden to follow him so he can show him something, giving Aiden the Binoculars, which can be used to mark undiscovered locations on the map or to set a waypoint without having to open the map itself. Hakon will tell Aiden that he will keep in touch and then leave, completing the quest.
