"Health Regen" is an Agility skill in Dying Light.

Overview[]

The default maximum regeneration is 25. This skill increases that number to 35, allowing more free health. While it's rather slow, it can come in a pinch when the player is lacking Medkits. This usually happens in quests where Kyle Crane loses his inventory. Regeneration begins after a few seconds of not taking damage and as such, below are tricks to stay away from enemies, avoid damage, and regenerate.

Tactics[]

  • The Grappling Hook can give one an edge in distance, allowing one to further the gap and avoid any extra hits
  • The Toad's acidic mortars and grenades from human enemies will display a red warning sign as well as a direction of where it will explode
  • High ground is usually a rather safe place, especially if the player has the Stomp skill to dispatch of any climbing Virals
  • If the player has no choice but to try to regenerate on even ground, always remember to look back and front as bumping into a Biter can result in one being grabbed
  • Survivor Sense will make this task easier as it highlights exceptionally dangerous enemies except Bombers
