Hammers are a type of blunt melee weapon featured in Dying Light.

As relatively fast weapons, they are very common and can be found occasionally on the hands of Biters. It is advised to use these on sluggish opponents and discard them when they're done.

Trivia[]

  • In real life, Hammers are served for delivering a blow to an object. While purposes are varied, in general they are served as the basic tools for driving nails, forge metal, break apart objects, and so on.
    • Claw Hammers are used for pounding in or extracting nails. They are recognizable for its claw-shaped head appearance.
    • Club Hammers are used for light demolition work, driving mansory nails, and for use with a steel chisel when cutting through stone or metal.
    • Machinist's Hammer (known as the Plain Hammer in-game) are used for metalworking.
    • Stonemason's Hammer (known as the Brick Hammer in-game) are used for chipping off edges or pieces of stone, cutting brick or a concrete masonry unit, and for rapidly cut bricks or cinder blocks. They are notable for their flat traditional side and a chisel-shaped bladed end.
