Grapple is an Agility skill in Dying Light.
Overview[]
Grapple is a novice agility skill that allows the player to counter enemy attacks. When an infected or human lunges at you, press the button which normally activates Survivor Sense and input a direction. You can throw at 90-degree angles left, right, and straight behind you based on Crane's orientation. Below are some strategies that can be used with this skill.

Tactics[]
- Toss enemies to ledges, deep water, or spikes to instantly kill them.
- Tossing an enemy's head to a wall will both stun and ragdoll them regardless if the player has Brutal Grapple unlocked.
- When on even ground, grappling Infected still causes them to stumble, faster enemies however will recover pretty quickly.
- Still useful against hordes of Biters as it can give the player breathing room and prevent grabs
- Since Virals and Night Walkers constantly lunge due to their speed, this skill can always be used on them though to little effect.
- It is highly recommended to not use this skill on Bombers.
- Still enemies cannot be grappled meaning this cannot be used as a makeshift Takedown.
- It is highly suggested that players try to go for Brutal Grapple as it greatly increases its usefulness.
Trivia[]
- This is essentially Kyle Crane's very own grab attack.
