"Specialist" is a Survival skill available in Dying Light.
Overview[]
Every once in a while when hitting an enemy, there is a chance that the world will go into slow motion and an X-Ray of the part of the enemy that is hit will be shown, usually followed by said enemy getting stunned or crumpled. Specialist simply increases the chance of that happening. It can be jarring at first however keep in mind that this skill is unlocked later in the game, most likely when the player is used to these things happening randomly.
While it is decently useful, its random nature combined with its ability to break the flow of combat makes it a more low-priority skill. It is however among some of the last skills the player will unlock so by then, they wouldn't really have much of a choice anyway.
