He is encountered during the quest The Way Out, confronting Kyle Crane at the southern gate of the farm, armed with a machete.
During the quest Going Postal, Kyle Crane discovers a letter to Eylem while searching a van outside the post office and has the choice of delivering the letter. However, it turns out to be his power bill from the government, which only serves to upset him.
Eylem:"What do you want?" Crane:"I need to talk to someone in charge. I'm from Harran." Eylem:"Oh? You a smuggler? You work for that crook?" Crane:"Look, I don't know anything about any smuggling, pal. I'm here just... I need some help." Eylem:"Ask for Jasir. But understand this: if you steal anything, you lose your hands! (After sitting down) I've got my eye on you, stranger!"
Crane:"Eylem? That's you? Here — I brought you something from the post office." Eylem:"Are you kidding? That's great! Wow! I... for fuck's sake, you brought me my POWER BILL!" Crane:"Hey, whoa, don't get mad at me! I don't read other people's mail! I didn't know what it was!" Eylem:"Ahh, fuck it. It's not like I'm gonna pay it."
