Walkthrough[]

While on the rooftops in eastern Garrison, Aiden may run into a man named Pierre. He sounds distressed, and in conversation will reveal that Renegades have kidnapped his son, Rook, forcing Pierre to produce drugs for them threatening to kill Rook if he does not comply. Aiden offers to help, so Pierre tells him where to go: a military building overlooking the canal south of Muddy Grounds, near Culvert Island.

The Renegades are located in a Dark Hollow in southwestern Muddy Grounds, just north of Culvert Island. Head over there and deal with the Renegades. There are a total of six Renegades, four footmen, one of which carries an alarm, an archer, and an officer. There is also a regular bandit. After dispatching them, head to the elevator lobby on the upper level and go through the door. A dazed Rook is found, sitting on the floor. It quickly becomes clear that Rook is an addict and was using his father for personal gain. When Pierre comes walking in, Aiden has two options: either tell the truth about Rook, or keep it a secret.

Keeping it a secret makes Aiden claim that the Renegades shot Rook up with drugs, removing Rook's own role in the ordeal. Pierre will be grateful for Aiden's aid and be sympathetic toward Rook, finishing the quest.

Telling the truth makes Aiden say that Rook used Pierre for his own gain. Pierre will be disappointed in Rook, and Rook will say that he tried to stop, but the Renegades would not let him. Pierre offers to help Rook, despite his failings, then thank Aiden, in doing so finishing the quest.
