"There's no need to explain that some liquids conduct electricity, right? Put some water into a bottle, throw that bottle at an infected, attack with an electric weapon. Results? Galvanizing!"
In-game description

Conducting Liquid is a throwing weapon in Dying Light. They render enemies affected by it vulnerable to electricity. The Blueprint can be bought on most vendors

Overview[]

Conducting Liquid, similar to its flammable counterpart, will douse the victim in a liquid, which will make it easier for electricity attacks to not only shock, but electrify multiple enemies at once. This can be helpful when there are no shallow sources of water nearby or during clear weather. It is suggested to throw a bottle of Conducting Liquid while on top of a van or truck to maximize affected enemies. Afterwards, one strike from a weapon with an Electricity upgrade should suffice.

Another thing the player can do is to throw one bottle of it on a horde approaching Electric Fences, thus electrocuting any infected unable to approach the trap or even Volatiles that refuse to pass it. One last thing to note is that one can combo this weapon with Electric Arrows, allowing the player to electrocute multiple infected at long distances.

An interesting thing to note is that unlike water which nullifies the ability of burning weapons, Conducting Liquid does not. It means that players can get all the benefits of attacking a wet enemy with an electric weapon without it hindering the use of burning weapons.

Trivia[]

  • Due to how fast alcohol evaporates, it is actually a terrible Conductive Fluid, at least in the way it is used in this game
  • Despite the item description mentioning water, the crafting recipe used to create the liquid uses alcohol.
