Walkthrough[]

After having gained sufficient trust points, and having completed "The Gathering", Crane will be contacted by the Faceless and be asked to investigate a strange phenomenon. The location itself is due south of the town and due west of the bay. Head there.

At the site, the same blue mist that was used during "The Gathering" and "Power to the People" to pacify the infected is found. Investigate the area to find that a Demolisher has destroyed a military vehicle. A nearby supply crate is filled with 12 DIY grenades, whereas another military crate is empty. Crane contacts the Faceless shortly thereafter to give a status report. The Faceless suggests meeting at Jasir's farm, so head there. He can be found in the corner of the barn where Crane's bedroll is located.

The Faceless will admit that the Mother does not have a real cure, but that the mist used is a temporary solution while work on the cure is ongoing. They are in need of more of the mist, so he tasks Crane with checking out a cave in the far northwest of the map for more of it. While on the way over there, Crane will contact Lena, who will inform him that the Tower has run out of Antizin.

At the cave entrance more of the blue mist is found, as well as a dead soldier with a Police Rifle next to him, and some infected, including ones wearing military fatigues. The road leading to the other side of the cave has been blown up by the military. Head to the other side to find a dead soldier next to two DIY grenades and a Camo Police Rifle. Two viral military infected - wearing helmets - will come bolting down from further up the cave. Dispatch them. Taking the road further leads to a tree, with another military vehicle crashed into it and two soldiers laying dead nearby as well as some regular infected wearing military fatigues. A Desert Military Rifle is also found here.

"Mayday, mayday! This is Varyag 5, we were forced to detour. The goods are undamaged. I say again, the goods are undamaged. Immediate assistance required, over."
Emergency broadcast from the truck

Further down the road two more military vehicles and a large truck are found. In the back end of the closest of the vehicles some rifle ammo and a DIY grenade is found, in front of the vehicle is a Desert Police Rifle. Two of the Faceless can be found here as well, dead. At the back of the truck, one of Rais's thugs is found, dead, with a Camo Military Rifle, three DIY grenades and three boxes of rifle ammunition next to him. In front of the door leading in to the truck, one more box of rifle ammunition is found, as well as two more DIY grenades. The military vehicle in front of the truck got crashed by a cave-in, two boxes of rifle ammunition can be salvaged from it, however.

""The goods are undamaged?" All right, then where are they?"
Kyle Crane

Check the truck itself to progress the quest. The crates marked with "military content" are empty. To get answers, Crane contacts the Faceless again to finish the quest.

Trivia[]

  • A dispatch in a military truck under a dead member of the Faceless can be found during "We Don't Go There Anymore", which makes reference of the convoy which crashed in the cave.
