An Exemplary Grandson is a Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

Objectives[]

Find the old woman's medicine.

In her apartment, I found the bodies of some people who'd been killed by the Infected, and with them, the woman's medication.

Return to the old woman.

I returned to the old woman with her pills. She admitted that her memory isn't bad at all, but that she pretends because she is lonely.

Walkthrough[]

While on the rooftops in northwestern Garrison, north of the VNC Tower and due south of the 'Teak' Windmill, Aiden may run into a confused old lady. She appears to be a woman suffering from dementia, who confuses Aiden for her grandson Henny. Refusing to acknowledge Aiden's corrections, the lady asks "Henny" if he has brought her the pills that she needs. Unwilling to abandon the woman entirely, Aiden offers to retrieve the pills for the woman. It turns out that Renegades got a hold of her pills, and took them to some abandoned apartments nearby.

Head over to the apartments, which are located nearby on the ground level. Some Biters can be found inside, having killed the Renegades. Use survivor sense near the corpse of the dead Renegade and take the pills. After retrieving the pills, find the lady back over at the 'Teak' Windmill.

Upon returning the pills, the lady admits that she knew who Aiden was, but that she was lonely and pretended she was suffering dementia to get some company. She thanks Aiden for his aid and offers to tell a story. Whether the story is listened to or not, the quest if completed.
